Finding Her Forever by Melissa Storm

Can she emerge from the wreckage of her past to discover who she’s truly meant to be?

Ellie was lucky to survive the accident that totaled her car and nearly stole her life. What wasn’t lucky, was waking up with no memories of her past or what her life was before. But, as she discovers more about how she lived before the accident, she begins to realize it might not be a life she ever wants to go back to. At the urging of her doctor and in desperation to escape her warring parents, she checks into a healing horse ranch in Alaska.

That’s when the nightmares start, each starring the same faceless, nameless man. Every morning when she wakes, her heart breaks to have lost him yet again. Despite her vow to find him, no one seems to know who he is or where he might be–especially not the handsome ranch hand who seems to be falling for her more every day.

Will Ellie continue her journey to reclaim the love so real it’s the one thing she could never forget? Or should she treat the accident as a second chance to right the mistakes of her past while forging a new future?

My Review of Let Finding Her Forever:

Finding Her Forever by Melissa Storm takes you on a journey through Ellie’s mind and memory. After a horrible car accident, Ellie forgets everything – her name, her friends, and the identity of the literal man of dreams. She journeys far from home to an Alaskan ranch that specializes in memory therapy.

But Ellie is still haunted by this mystery man that shows up every night in her dreams. She knows that he was someone special, but she can’t figure out who he is. She can’t figure out much of anything, because even though she tries as hard as she can, her memories stay out of reach.

However, this gives Ellie a chance to find herself all over again. She reinvents herself as a completely different person than the horrible and vain one she seemed to be before the accident. But she can’t seem to move past her dream man.

When a handsome ranch hand, Landon, catches her eye, she isn’t sure what she should do. And as they start to become close, she feels like she’s betraying someone from her past.

Throughout her journey to recovery, she learns many things about herself. She reconnects with her father in an incredibly touching way. And she bonds with the horses and people at the ranch.

I loved Ellie’s journey, the horses, and the ending was quite a surprise twist. A mix of deception and redemption, which make an unusual but very well-done story.

Let There Be Life by Melissa Storm

Liz Benjamin has lost her place in the world. With her closest friends both preoccupied by a sport she has no interest in and her father having recently remarried a woman she loathes, it’s enough to make Liz pack her bags and leave Anchorage for good. That is, until a handsome stranger arrives in town and starts asking all the wrong questions.

Investigative reporter Dorian Whitley is on the verge of a career-making discovery. But he hadn’t counted on a beautiful, spirited, infuriating woman thwarting him at every turn.

Could she somehow be the key to uncovering his story? And could he be the one to help her find her place in life once more? Most of all, what will happen when his investigation reveals truths they’d both rather keep hidden?

My Review of Let There Be Life:

Let There be Life by Melissa Storm had a beautiful twist of suspense folded into the sweet romance. When Liz finds herself under investigation by reporter Dorian Whiley, she’s convinced it’s because of her new step-mom. But there’s much more to it that unfolds beautifully throughout the story.

Dorian is a great investigator. He thinks outside the box and gets the job done. But there’s something a little different about this one. Liz isn’t what he expected, and neither is his client. Dorian might be on the wrong side of things this time, but it’s pretty unclear where the right side of things really is.

A mystery begins to unravel that goes all the way back to when Liz was born. It will take a lot of courage to confront the past, and a lot of grace to forgive and move forward with her life.

I missed the dogs in his one, we just don’t get to see them or Liz’s friends as much as I would have liked.

Let There Be Light by Melissa Storm ~ Review

Three reasons you should read this Sweet Romance:

  • Let There Be Light by Melissa Storm is a fun enemies-to-lovers sweet romance with characters I adored.
  • I loved the little nod to Cinderella at the beginning.
  • Melissa Storm brought in my favorite characters from book one and made sure I had a chance to catch up with them – all without taking the spotlight away from our new couple.

Let There Be Light by Melissa Storm

Scarlett Cole is caught between two worlds. Accustomed to living out her adventures between the pages of great books, she now has the opportunity to participate in the sporting tradition she loves so much. Unfortunately, she’ll only have one chance to make a name for herself in the dog-sledding world before she needs to put these aspirations aside forever.

Henry Mitchell is another new contender in the great race, and he comes with a large media following. Challenged to place in the top ten of the Iditarod or forfeit his grandfather’s riches, failure could mean losing everything.

Do either Scarlett or Henry have what it takes? And what will happen when the sport places them in direct competition with each other? Will these star-crossed racers find something sweeter amidst their bitter rivalry?

My Review of Let There Be Light:

Let There Be Light by Melissa Storm is a great adventure story with an enemies-to-lovers romance that will melt your heart. Scarlett was a character that I could easily relate to as a reader. She lives in the worlds between the pages of her books. And we all know how that feels. But she’s ready to experience her own adventure this time.

She begins training for the Iditarod. Which seemed a little out of place to me. It’s the biggest sled dog race in the world. And I didn’t think you can just jump right in and run it your first year in training. But maybe I’m wrong. Because that’s exactly what she did – with the help of Lauren and Shane from the previous book.

Henry Mitchell has a very bad reputation, and it isn’t clear at first if he really deserves it. But he’s also out to win the Iditarod, with much more at stake than Scarlett. Because his family’s inheritance is on the line. And his family is not well-loved in the dog community.

Henry and Scarlett make an interesting match from the very beginning. With the hint of a Cinderella story at the ball, their meeting is quite memorable – and news-worthy. The back and forth between Scarlett wanting to help and wanting nothing to do with Henry seemed very fitting for both their characters. And it was well-done and believable.

Melissa Storm did an amazing job with the ending. So I will not give any hints to ruin it for you. But she found the perfect way to give everyone a happily ever after. I’m excited to jump right in a read more of the series to see who gets to fall in love next.
