Three reasons you should read this Sweet Romance:

  • Let There Be Life by Melissa Storm has a bit more suspense than the previous books in the series, and I loved it.
  • Liz comes face to face with a lot of messy things from her past but meets them with a lot of grace.
  • The ending was really special, but I won’t give it away!

Let There Be Life by Melissa Storm

Liz Benjamin has lost her place in the world. With her closest friends both preoccupied by a sport she has no interest in and her father having recently remarried a woman she loathes, it’s enough to make Liz pack her bags and leave Anchorage for good. That is, until a handsome stranger arrives in town and starts asking all the wrong questions.

Investigative reporter Dorian Whitley is on the verge of a career-making discovery. But he hadn’t counted on a beautiful, spirited, infuriating woman thwarting him at every turn.

Could she somehow be the key to uncovering his story? And could he be the one to help her find her place in life once more? Most of all, what will happen when his investigation reveals truths they’d both rather keep hidden?

My Review of Let There Be Life:

Let There be Life by Melissa Storm had a beautiful twist of suspense folded into the sweet romance. When Liz finds herself under investigation by reporter Dorian Whiley, she’s convinced it’s because of her new step-mom. But there’s much more to it that unfolds beautifully throughout the story.

Dorian is a great investigator. He thinks outside the box and gets the job done. But there’s something a little different about this one. Liz isn’t what he expected, and neither is his client. Dorian might be on the wrong side of things this time, but it’s pretty unclear where the right side of things really is.

A mystery begins to unravel that goes all the way back to when Liz was born. It will take a lot of courage to confront the past, and a lot of grace to forgive and move forward with her life.

I missed the dogs in his one, we just don’t get to see them or Liz’s friends as much as I would have liked.
